Umberto Boccioni was an Italian sculptor, painter, printmaker and writer. Boccioni was one of the principal figures of Futurism, and helped shape the movement?s revolutionary aesthetic as a theorist as well as through his art. Although his life was short, influence other artists held sway long after his death.
