Joahnnes Bosboom was a Dutch master taught by Bart Van Hove. In 1835 he travelled to Germany, Cologne and Koblenz with Salomon Leon Verveer, in 1837 to Antwerp and in 1838 to France. In 1852 he married Anna Louisa Geertruida Bosboom-Toussaint.
